A month in review...

Or make that two really - LOL!

We have been running well - all of December and most of January. Christmas for us was Family the Thursday before- then Gary and I had a white one in CO... careful what you wish for!! White and driving is not always fun! Parking was great though, hardly any trucks in rest areas, but the truck stops were packed with truck with no-one in them... Thankfully when we are in CO we bob-tail to the truck stop... makes parking a lot easier :)

New Years was the same, with less trucks empty but parked in truck stops.

It has been really nice running like we have, EXCEPT we only have a limited time at home (usually about 28 hours) and that also means a limited time to have maintainace performed... not the usual A or B service - but the type that need to stay overnight.

Well we started to have the check engine lights come on - the amber ones. That was a wakeup call that we needed to get the truck in for more than just PM services. Now don't get me wrong - I'm loving this lane we are on, but we can't just take 2-3 days off... we have to go for a full WEEK! So we really need to think - do we NEED this time off or not. It takes a chunk of $$ to do it. However this last week was well worth the chunk it took.

Not only did I get to see my sisters (Sister time - Love it!!) but good friends (wish I could have seen more of them and others) and got to see my daughter, son-in-law and grandchild for more that just 2-3 hours IF that. Just visiting made this week worth the $$! We also got to work on the truck - inside and out... OK - I still need to finish up the inside stuff - but got distracted. We also got the master-bedroom of the house cleaned and emptied so that we could move our bed back in. YES!! There is now room to move without having to walk sideways... what a relief! Life is much more relaxing when your environment isn't so chaotic.

So enough stalling - back to packing the truck back up... yeah it’s been nice at home - got a bunch of needed stuff done - but I'll be glad to get back on the road too...

Bye for now!!
